Our philosophy is to have only have one manager in each asset class to ensure we focus on that product no matter where it is in the performance cycle. As a point of difference, the Founding Partners of Winston Capital Partners have investments in the managers products that we represent to ensure an alignment of interests and strong buy in.
Further, we are only keen to work with managers that can take a long term timeframe to measure success over. Entering the retail wealth management market is a significant commitment that takes time to develop. From building a brand, presenting at conferences, getting listed on a wrap platform, preparing your online presence, to achieving a rating from a recognised research house, to being placed on a Dealer Groups Approved Product List or model portfolio.
FUM success can take time and will only occur when these other tasks are completed and even then, once you have been present in the market over long periods of time.
